    Based on the Victor Hugo novel, songs from the Disney animated feature and showcasing the film’s Academy Award-nominated score, as well as new songs by Menken and Schwartz.
    The bells sound through the famed cathedral. Quasimodo observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful Romani woman, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though – Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all.

    This show contains a lot of dark elements and themes and is more mature in nature than the Disney animated film.

    The Hamilton Community Gospel Choir is a choir with heart, and is a wonderfully varied group from the Waikato Region who like to entertain and inspire the community with a contemporary range of music, mainly in the gospel style.
    This August, their Annual Concert will be packed with an abundance of energy, that well-known heart, and of course a great vocal sound with something for all ages and tastes.
    Pieces to be performed range from the artists: the Mississippi Mass Choir, Chicago Mass Choir and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, to Cain, CeCe Winans, Tori Kelly and the Waikato’s very own Te Rautini.
    The choir is delighted to be finally bringing to the Waikato a concert after a gap of several years, and have a great line up of soloists including Yolande Joost and Debbie Shepherd, each bringing their unique style.
