Ticketek is our current ticketing provider.

Our Ticket Office is located in the front foyer through the main entrance and is ONLY open on show days. This opens 1 hour before the start of every show. Alternatively you can book tickets by following the links on our events which will link you through to the Ticketek website.
BEWARE of fake/fraudulent websites selling tickets to events at Clarence St Theatre.

Please remember we are only an agency and our functions are limited. We can perform ticket printing for events being ticketed by Ticketek however, we do not perform refunds or transfers. We can not do ticket purchases over the phone.

Ticket Suppression

Some major events have “Ticket Suppression”. Ticket Suppression is a decision made by the event organizers (not the theatre) to withhold the distribution of tickets until closer to the event, in order to combat ticket scalping. What this means is that even though you’ve purchased and paid for your tickets, your actual tickets won’t be sent/emailed to you till closer to the date. Sometimes this can be the week of. Refund enquiries

These can be sent to: commercial@ticketek.co.nz. Make sure you include the follwing details into your refund enquiry:

  • Your name
  • Customer Number
  • Event name and date
  • Confirmation/purchase number
  • Phone number

Any canceled event will automatically be refunded to the card used to make the purchase. If you’ve had a change of card or your card has expired since the purchase, you’ll need to provide an updated method with which to receive your refund. If your purchase was made at an agency or box office, they may ask for your bank account number. They will never ask for your FULL financial details. Refunds can take up to 30 days to process.
